Group walks is for dog that has leash lunging issues with other dogs. These dogs usually lack the understanding of the canine language. This often due to lack of socialization as puppies, or through negative experiences of being with other dogs that has made them scared, such as an attack, physical damage, or just spooked.

In this class I go through basic canine language, how to train first grade contact with your dog, and how to handle your dog around other dogs when displaying fear aggression.

Dogs in this class needs to be up to date on shots (paperwork needed the first time), and dogs are not allowed to sniff one another and will be on leash on all times.  The class will start with about a 30 minute class and after that hands on training during a one hour walk together.  We also get the mental support from being with others that are in the same boat, no risk of being expelled from this class, the worse you behave the more welcome back you will be.  

These take place at my house in Hicksville, 6.00 PM Tuesdays, and 3.00 PM Saturdays Cost:  15 dollars/time around 1, 5 hours long (you decide how many times)

Private training is for you that has issues with your dog at home, or certain situations, aggressions, fears, or just rather have a private obedience session. I do house calls depending on where you live, but then gas will also be included in the price.  In this is included an evaluation of the dog and the dogs issues, you will get a training regime to follow, with exercises and how to get the dog you want, we will go through the physical way you need to handle the dog and how and when to reward.

Cost: 15 dollars an hour + Gas

Intro to Clicker is for you that want to find out an easy and fun way to train and play with your dog. It is all about capture behaviors we want and reward them. This together with consistency is an awesome tool within dog training.  The things we go through that the dog will learn is:

• Contact
• Focus
• Concentration
• Sit
• Lie down
• Here
• No

You will learn:

• Positive reinforcement
• How to have basic use of a clicker
• When to reward
• Behavior capture
• How a dog relates
• How to read your dog/body language

This is a 3 time session an hour each this will include a clicker, cost is 40 dollars.

Puppy Kindergarten is for the little ones from 3 months up to 6 months, the class starts with play obedience and contact training. After that a short leash walk where we do some socialization in an active environment and do some more play contact training to after that return to the yard for rumble and tumble.  This so they learn to interact well with their human around other dogs, and also learn to respect other dog’s body languages, and to get the play exchange with other equal pups.  Here we go by individual development; due to pups having an attention span of a bucket it will be hard to set a full goal. Therefore, every time you return we try to advance your pup for you. Example of list of how we can advance, some pups will go faster and some will take longer time, different breeds mature differently and that is needed to take into consideration when having expectations on your little one:

• Eye contact and focus despite other pups and sit.
• Eye contact and focus despite other pups and busy road and sit.
• Maintaining eye contact and focus despite other pups busy road while sitting.

Cost 10 dollars a time/ approx an hour and you decide how many times

Help to find your dog is a new service for you that are loving dogs but don’t have so much knowledge about them. As long as you as a person that wants to have a dog is prepared to put time down in your dog and do the proper research, take classes etc there is no really right or wrong. However with this service we go over what you wish for, how your life looks like and what would suit your life, what you would want the dog for example companion, competition, hiking buddy, jogging buddy etc and then I will help you find the dog for you.  When we find a dog that seems suitable I will also join to meet him/her only local service on the island.

Cost 50 dollars onetime fee

Severe leash lunging therapy is for you that has a snarling “beast” in your leash and are VERY insecure as an owner.  It will be private session, where you come to me and we will take about 1-2 hour long walk, where I first will go through how you will work with your dog, the dog’s signals, and help you get him/her to focus. If it is dog on dog aggression I will take out my calm therapy dog Tasha, and it if is vehicle or human aggression we will take a walk where we can start working on that.

Cost : 15 dollars a walk
